NEW LAWS FOR E-WASTE RECYCLING IN VICTORIA
Electronic Waste, often referred to as E-Waste, is a newly established waste stream with up to three times faster growth than general household waste in Australia. As of July 1, 2019, E-Waste will be banned from Victorian landfills under the governments new Waste Management Policy. If large corporations and general consumers are caught ignoring the new laws and disposing of E-Waste such as ex-computers and phones, up to fridges and washing machines, they may be prosecuted and receive hefty fines.
